Contact Information

Lori is a cum laude graduate of Georgetown University Law Center where she was a member of the Georgetown Law Journal. She is licensed in Virginia and the District of Columbia and admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. and Fourth Circuits, and all federal, state and local courts in D.C. and Virginia. Before law school, Lori served seven years in the Army followed by more than a decade of public service in the Federal Government.

Business & Employment Lawyer

Lori represents clients in complex commercial litigation, principally in the areas of business and employment law. She has successfully represented individuals and corporate clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters before administrative agencies, in settlement negotiations, and before federal and state courts.

Experienced in High-Stakes Litigation

From 1999 until 2006, Lori worked for large law firms where she learned the nuts and bolts of complex commercial litigation while working alongside and against some of the most recognized legal names in the nation. She represented Fortune 100 companies and other clients in labor and employment, white-collar crime, breach of contract, RICO, antitrust, director & officer liability, fraud, negligence, and other business lawsuits and disputes.

Civil Rights Matters

Lori believes firmly in community service and individual civil rights. She is the recipient of several civil rights awards including for work in the fields of disability rights, housing discrimination, public accommodations discrimination, and on a team that handled a now infamous case of wrongful convictions in Tulia, Texas.

Client Focused Law Firm

In 2006, Lori founded Searcy Law Offices, now doing business as Searcy Business Litigation & Employment Law, to bring her experience to clients who need high-quality, competent counsel, but who do not necessarily need a large law firm. In this role, she has successfully represented clients in more than 100 business and employment law cases. Her clients range from individuals whose rights have been severely violated to Fortune 100 companies who need experienced, competent counsel for local lawsuits in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
